Yes, by default. All threshold delivery orders ship "Signature Required." If you'd prefer not to sign, you can waive the signature requirement by checking the box at checkout. Please note that if you waive the signature, we're unable to reimburse or replace an order that is lost or stolen once our carrier confirms delivery.

We ship to all 50 states. Delivery times and available delivery methods may vary for Alaska, Hawaii, and other non-contiguous locations. Contact our Sleep Concierge Team before ordering if you're outside the contiguous 48 states.

Sleep Trial & Returns

Every Sleep Science mattress and sleep bundle comes with a 120-night sleep trial. A mattress is a "feel thing," and your body needs time to adjust, so we ask that you sleep on your new mattress for at least 30 nights before deciding. Somewhere between night 30 and night 120, you'll know for sure whether it's right for you.

You can, but a $85 pick-up fee applies to any return initiated within the first 30 days of receiving your order. This includes ordering the wrong size or simply changing your mind. We encourage you to give it the full 30 nights first. Most sleepers need that long to adapt.

There's no charge at all. Contact our Customer Service Team and they'll arrange a pick-up at no additional cost. Thank you for completing the trial.

  • Return initiated days 1–30: $85 pick-up fee
  • Return initiated days 31–120: No pick-up fee

No. The 120-night trial covers mattress-only orders and sleep bundles. Adjustable bases and accessories including bedding, pillows, mattress protectors, sheets, and headboard brackets carry a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. Returns within that window are picked up at no charge via a FedEx call tag, but the item must be in its original packaging, so please hold onto your boxes.

Yes. Replacement remotes are a final sale and cannot be returned.

Warranty

Every Sleep Science mattress carries a 10-year limited warranty to the original purchaser, protecting against defects in workmanship and materials under normal use, beginning on the date of delivery.

Specifically, coverage includes:

  • Deterioration in the foam's cell structure causing a visible indentation greater than ¾ of an inch, when not caused by a sagging foundation, slats, box spring, or platform
  • Any physical flaw causing the material to split or crack despite normal use and proper handling

The limited warranty does not apply to:

  • Comfort preference — if the mattress simply doesn't feel right, that's what the 120-night trial is for
  • Physical damage, burns, cuts, tears, stains, soiling, or unsanitary conditions
  • Normal wear and tear, including gradual softening of the foam and slight body impressions, which are normal as your mattress adjusts to your body
  • Wear and tear to the outer cover fabric
  • Commercial use
  • Mattresses used on a frame or bed rails without a continuously solid support surface
  • Mold, or damage from moisture and excessive humidity
  • Purchases without proof of purchase, or where the law label has been removed

Yes. The mattress cover is warranted against defective materials and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of purchase under normal care and use. This excludes fading, pilling, and shrinkage, and is void where there is evidence of soiling or unsanitary conditions.

Contact our Customer Service Team. You'll need proof of purchase — a receipt, canceled check, or other acceptable documentation. The law label attached to your product, which establishes the date of manufacture. Warranties apply only to the original retail purchaser and are not transferable. Removing the law label voids the warranty.

Mattresses

It depends on how you sleep. Each Sleep Science mattress carries a comfort rating to guide you. For example, the 14" Copper is rated firm, best suited to stomach and back sleepers. If you're unsure, call our Sleep Concierge Team. Our job is to answer your questions, not sell you a mattress that isn't right for you and if we don't think we're the right fit, we'll tell you.

Four core technologies work together:

  • Lumi Bands™ precision cooling — natural graphite strips that pull excess heat away from the body
  • Bamboo charcoal memory foam — ventilated foam that promotes airflow and helps manage moisture and odor
  • Air Grid™ — a breathable airflow layer that helps heat escape through the mattress
  • Pocketed coil support — individually wrapped coils that reduce motion transfer while delivering adaptive support

Not all technologies appear in every model. Check the individual product page for that mattress's specific construction.

Our mattresses are engineered specifically to address this. Heat is dissipated through cooling layers and channeled out through the ventilated base structure rather than trapped against your body, creating a temperature-neutral sleep surface.

If this is your first visco-elastic memory foam mattress, allow 30 to 60 days to fully adjust. This is exactly why we ask you to sleep on it for at least 30 nights before making a decision on the trial.

Adjustable Bases

No tools required. Just unfold the base, screw on the legs, and plug it in. Each base also folds in half, which makes it easy to move through doorways or rearrange your bedroom later.

Sleep Science adjustable bases fit into most bed frames, and can also be used as a stand-alone bed. Please note that bed frames are not included, and headboard and footboard brackets are sold separately.

Every base includes a free-fall motor design safety feature that locks the base in position if power is lost, then reverts to a backup battery pack so you can still return the base to a flat position. Additional safety features include articulating arm locks and a pin release.

Each base has a 750 lb. lift capacity, calculated to include the weight of the mattress. Exceeding the recommended weight limit may void your warranty.

Setup & Care

Your mattress arrives compressed and rolled for easy transport and delivery. Sleep Science mattresses have a 99.99% foam recovery rate from packaging, so it will return to full shape once unrolled.

Yes. A faint foam odor is common when a new mattress is first opened. It dissipates within 24 to 48 hours.

Your mattress must rest on a continuous, solid support surface or an adjustable base. Using it on slats or a frame without continuous support can cause sagging. Damage from an unsupported foundation is not covered under warranty.

We strongly recommend a waterproof mattress protector. Liquid spills are not covered under warranty, and the mattress should never get wet or be stored in a high-humidity environment. Select models feature a machine-washable, zip-off cover. Check your product page to confirm.
